ARTIST: Georges Seurat 1859-1891

Seurat said, "I painted like that because I wanted to try something new--a kind of painting that was my own." The style he invented was Pointillism, and with millions of tiny dots he created masterpeices for the world to enjoy. His most famous painting is 'Sunday Afternoon in the Park'.
